In 1998 a recording of Hendrix at Clark University in 1968 was found in the BBC archives after research by an employee at the National Sound Archives in London. This recording was subsequently released by Experience Hendrix on their dagger label. Shortly after the Hendrix had surfaced I asked the contact at the NSA if he had access to any Pink Floyd recordings. He was able to book out and copy the 1970 and 1971 shows to DAT. He later found the complete broadcast of the 1968 Top Gear show which was also transferred to DAT. At that time CDR was still a relatively new format and I sent the two concert DATs to a friend in the States to copy to CDR. The CDRS made it safely back across the Atlantic but the DATs, which had been sent separately, went missing somewhere in transit.

There is nothing new here, all that is new is a fresh transfer from the original CDRs and in the case of the 1968 broadcast, the DAT. This package brings these three mono masters together for the first time.
