After quite a long time I'd say there's finally some talking about it. The once known Saint Ouen audience recording of December 2 1972 is now under the spotlights thanks to the recent rebroadcast of the 1972 December 05 recording by Belgian Radio 1.
As stated before, some tape circulated in the old days labeled as being from a radio broadcast of the 1972 December 05 gig which turn out to be from the same gig as what the fans labeled Saint Ouen 1972-12-02.
The recent broadcast included other parts of that recording (not the same as the ones circulated on some old tapes) which are also from the same gig as the once known Saint Ouen audience tapes... so either the Saint Ouen 1972 December 2 audience recording is mislabeled at some point or is this radio source to have not the correct date... considering that a radio archive should be more reliable than fan's tape-labels my guess is that the 1972-12-05 date is the correct one for both the audience (once Saint Ouen) and the radio source ... I recently found some old tape source of the audience recording finally labeled December 5, which is someway important to understand how things used to go... any answer?
these are some examples of the currently known available sources :
- audience recording source 1+2 (labaled 1972 December 2 - Palais des Sports de L'ile de la Jatte, Saint Ouen)
- audience recording source 1 (labaled 1972 December 1 or 2 - Palais des Sports de L'ile de la Jatte, Saint Ouen)
- audience recording source 2a (labaled 1972 December 2 - Palais des Sports de L'ile de la Jatte, Saint Ouen)
- audience recording source 2b (labaled 1972 December 5 - same as above)
- radio source 1 (labeled 1972 December 5 - Sport Paleis Vorst National, Brussels, Belgium)
- radio source 2 (labeled 1972 December 5 - Sport Paleis Vorst National, Brussels, Belgium) ..different contents than above.

This sounds as a new genuine recording, though I have not compared it with other dates yet. It comes from a fantape transferred into CDR.
Hiss is moderate and sound quality is about VG but the speed is very fast.
The recording starts with the end of the early version of The Great Gig In The Sky and goes into the beginning of Money; there's only the beginning of Money here (the soundscape - no song) that is soon merged with Us & Them and till this point it sounds not so good; at about a half of Us & Them, exactly around minute 3:40 the sound quality improves (but there's no patch, it just starts sounding better, there's no evidence of the taper disclosing the recorder too, I guess it's just that this tape sounds this way); Us & Them, ACYL and Brain Damage are complete, then the recording stops again as soon as Brain Damage is over (no Eclipse). It starts again with OOTD that's missing the beginning and cuts before the end; At last the recording restarts at the beginning of CWTAE where you can hear the taper moving the recorder provoking a great noise; CWTAE is then cut at the very end.
