The first half was very, very painful...one guy with
with fog cutter voice 8 seats away was way to chatty.
To make matters worse, there was a Very drunk individual right behind me who
decided he would rather practice his whistling every two minutes vs. listening
to the music despite the efforts of me and everyone around him (including the
coaxing of polite young blond who was trying desperately to help so she could
enjoy the show).
Fortunately, security showed up at the break. This
fine, upstanding fella couldn't find his ticket and security found a bottle of
jagermeister that I pointed out just HAD to be his (just to further encourage
his discharge). Security politely carted him away to the cheers of about 15
people and the now angry blond who had grown tired of the whole affair by
launching a string of explicitives into his face as he left. She was thanked by
all for her efforts
Despite the tough first half, I still had a great
time (saved by the 2nd set, a few discussions with the gentlemen next to me who
saw the show back in the '80's at Nassau-It's him talking at the end, and not
the least a few beers with a friendly group of fans before the show.
