If the on-screen date on this footage is correct, and there's no reason to
suspect it isn't, this recording was shot a week after the Norton Airforce Base
recording was made and a week before The Division Bell Tour commenced in Miami.
The source for this is the 2xVCD version which, unlike the other versions that
currently circulate, runs at the correct speed. This isn't a high quality
affair by any means but it is an interesting hour-long peek at the dress
rehearsals that preceded the tour.
The film is shot from two positions. Firstly from in front of the stage and
then from roughly 30 degrees to stage left with a very short sequence zoomed on
the players between the two. The audio is much better on the second half while
the camera's mic was off-phase to the PA.
Due mainly to the low light conditions this domestic camcorder footage was shot
in, quite a lot of video noise is apparent on the source. This has been
carefully and subtley reduced using a software filter.
So anyway, nothing new or breathtaking here. Just a rehash of existing stuff
presented in a familiar and popular format and, as with everything I do along
these lines, purely a labour of love.
