This film presents Pink Floyd filmed at their
recording session on the lith and 12th of January 1967, at Sound Techniques,
London. They are seen recording what has become regarded as the definitive
version of "Interstellar Overdrive" and the previously unknown "Nick's
Boogie" for Peter Whitehead's films on Swinging London. Two further
recordings made at the session "Arnold Layne" and "Candy And A Currant Bun"
(not included here) secured the band a recording contract with EMI's Harvest
label and worldwide fame. They are also seen playing at the legendary
underground club - UFO, birthplace of psychedelic imagery and a new style of
music improvisation. |
