Venue: The Smoothie King Center (a small basketball
arena next to the Louisiana Superdome football
stadium) Section B, Row 4, FLOOR SEAT 9 (right next
to the front of the soundboard)
Processing: Samsung Galaxy S7 (for most of the
concert) and my old Samsung S for part of "Bring The Boys Back Home", and the
first half of "Comfortably Numb." --> Corel Video
Studio Ultimate X9 for all of the editing (putting
segments together) AND making the DVD's! No fancy line of several programs used
for this.
Notes:
1) The Samsung S7 has a limit of about 30 minutes for each video, then
stops and starts a new clip. But it only takes about 4
seconds for the phone to do that automatically. So a
few songs have a brief 4 second "skip." (I remember one being during the intro
of "Us And Them")
2) The only thing I altered is: I lowered the volume "-3" in the program so that
the equalizer on people's equipment won't max out
when the DVD's are played.
3) At the end of the band introductions, my S7 battery died. So I swithed to my
old Galaxy S phone that my mom was taking pictures with next to me. (She
likes PF's songs, not Roger's solo songs!) With that
second phone I caught most "Bring The Boys Back Home" and half of "Comfortably
Numb" when THAT battery died ALSO! So I went to YouTube to
find other sources for that New Orleans concert. I patched
my DVD's with "Vera," the beginning of "Bring The
Boys Back Home," and the second half of "Comfortably
Numb" from two alternate sources from that night.
Roger hasn't come to New Orleans since 1970 (I think) with Pink Floyd. Roger was
supposed to come to New Orleans in 2000. I had a ticket for a ROW 5 seat on the
floor! But 9 days after the tickets went on sale, the
floor seats had not sold out yet, so he CANCELED the
concert! I did drive to Dallas, Texas to see and video his Wall Tour in November
of 2010.
