Here is Roger's second night in
Philadelphia. About half of the footage is from my and cinerama's master HD
files. The rest is culled from YouTube.
This video is more piecemeal than my 11/11 project.
For example, Goodbye Blue Sky had be be put together from three different
sources. The quality of the YouTube clips vary from barely passable (The Thin
Ice) to decent (Mother). As much as I don't like mixing footage from different
shows, I was forced to use several minutes of Young Lust and Don't Leave Me Now
from the night before as I couldn't find any other sources, even bad ones. As
with 11/11, there are freeze frames and black screens between songs since I had
to string tracks together. Also, several clips I got from YouTube are
pillar-boxed.
Despite the downsides, I thought this project was
well worth doing in order to get cinerama's excellent footage out there. He did
a great job filming from the floor behind the mixing board -- no obstructions
with a full stage view. I only wish he had gotten more. (I myself shot 45
minutes of set 2. I would have done more were it not for a clump of cables in
the way.)
Another reason I wanted to do this project, was to
take advantage of tenaciousj's wonderful audience recording.
