Having recently re-watched the "Bootlegging
The Bootleggers" segment on the official "PULSE" DVD, I was inspired to make my
own edited-together versions of the 8 songs that Pink Floyd played live, but did
not play on October 20 for the DVD. I dug through my
bootleg collection to find some great recordings of
those great songs. For example, I took about 5 versions of "Poles
Apart" and put the best shots together, so that it looks
like a 5-camera recording of one performance. (Just ignore
the
fact that Gilmour appears to change clothing from
one shot to the next!).
For most of the clips, I used the audio from the March 30 and Sept 13
soundboard recordings, and carefully lip-synced the
footage. But for (I think) two songs, I had to
use the audience audio. Also, I DID NOT use any of
the clips from "Bootlegging The Bootleggers", because I wanted this to be my
creation, my edits, etc. I have not seen a bootleg video re-edit like this, so I
thought I would give it a try. After 2 days of staring at my computer screen,
here they are...
