This is a multicam video recording made by fans for the
fans.
The last leg of the 2015-2016 Rattle That Lock tour came to Chantilly, a city
near Paris, France, a few days after the two legendary Pompei dates, and a few
months before the final five Royal Albert Hall shows.
During the tour, David Gilmour has been playing his
favorite Black Strat, his now loved Gibson Les Paul Gold Top with a bigsby
vibrato, but also, it has seen the reappearance of his old battled Fender
Esquire, also known as the Workmate.
At one point during Rattle That Lock’s first solo,
the guitar sound started to cut off, and Gilmour, while trying to get a sound
out of his Esquire, called his guitar tech, Phil Taylor.
For an unknown reason, Phil seemed unwilling to come to the stage to switch the
guitar or the guitar cable, which forced Gilmour to go on through the whole song
with a very reluctant instrument.
At one point, being unable to play properly his
guitar, Gilmour gave up and started to dance.
At the end of the song, he told in french to the
audience: « I’m sorry, that is a very very old guitar… just like me! ».
- Music recorded by Floyd_Le_Grand, remastered by me, Deck.
(some EQ, and as the original music was louder on
the left than on the right, it has been centered. The stereo has also been
slightly widened. No compression nor reverb has been used here.)
- Video has been edited and color corrected in 1080p by me, Deck.
The sources come from youtube and dailymotion users,
but also people who kindly shared their videos with me.
Some songs have many sources, but a few other only
have 1 single video. I wish I could find at least 5-6 videos for each songs, but
at least, the concert can be watched in its entirety.
Have a nice watching.
