This much anticipated 1970 feature by italian director Michelangelo Antonioni (Blow-Up) was hailed as the movie of the year long before its theatrical release. Once premiered the audience found the movie to hard to bear and it was soon taken off the playbill.
"Zabriskie Point" is in its brilliance a beautiful testiment to the death of individual freedom and of the 60s. All beautifully scored by the likes of Jerry Garcia and The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd.
