MAD - Pink Floyd Experience Tribute band
I was curious about see this band. For two reasons: they have real vintage
equipement, and because that summer they perform the Live at Pompeii concert
from beginning to end. Unfortunally the place is not the best for a thing like
this. As you can imagine, a biergarden is good for pub band or a cover band who
made easy listening stuff. Early Floyd stuff requires attention, a thing nearly
impossible in a place full of people who want enjoying the saturday night eating
pork and drnking beer. Anyway...
In my opinon they have do a good job, but they can choose a beter guitar player.
I don't talk about a Gilmour clone, but this guy was so..."cold". The voice too
is not perfect, but good. And they have made a big mistake, saying that the
original pompeii concert was made in 1979. Maybe too much nervous or something?
The last 2 minutes of Echoes Repise are missing. Not bad, it consist in the
guitar solo, nothing special. Good light show, good A Saurceful of Secrets
version.
