It was not an easy trip in any sense though somehow
managed to get there. Nobody was impressed at work when I told them I need a
weekend off at the end of july to see 1 concert on such a short notice... but
after a long chessgame-like conversation, I got my days and happily booked
everything. I have to admit that I have been at several festivals in my life but
Womad was certanly not the best experience. Though the food was excellent, you
can read the complaints on several websites, they were all true! Also, I am not
familiar with world music at all and though I`ve seen some good acts, I couldn´t
even tell which bands I saw...
Apart from Peter and his group! The show was
brilliant, so far the best I`ve seen from them. It was also very close to the
setlist I`ve dreamed about.
Filmingwise, it turned out very well but you`ll see
it for yourself or take a look on the sample. There was somebody else apart from
me who filmed some parts of the show from about the fifth row, I was standing
behind him. The sound here is pretty ballsy but I decided to not touching it.
