The Pink Floyd appeared on this show during their 1st US tour. In Fact, they had only been in the country for a couple of days. The band mime their latest single. "Apples & Oranges" and is then interviewed by Dick Clark. Of all the things that Dick could have asked them (like about their unique form of music), he wants to know about how they feel about American food! I also get a big kick when Dick suddenly decides to move away from Syd and interview Rick. Also, towards the end Dick asks Syd if he wrote all the songs to which Syd replies, "Yeah. That's Right." With his hands on his hips Syd almost seems to want to follow up with, "Wanna make something of it?" Dunno, maybe its just me, but it makes me laugh. |
