Zeszłoroczny koncert Davida Gilmoura w stoczni Gdańskiej dla upamiętnienia rocznicy wydarzeń sierpnia 1980 i ruchu solidarnościowego był dla Polaków szczególnym wydarzeniem.

Wielu z nas czekało na ten koncert dziesiątki lat, dla wielu był on niezapomnianym przeżyciem. W rocznice koncertu i 27-ą rocznice wydarzeń sierpniowych, fani  Pink Floyd i talentu Davida Gilmoura  postanowili upamiętnić ten wieczór przygotowując nieoficjalny album, wykorzystując zdjęcia własne czy publikowane w Internecie, opatrzone fragmentami wypowiedzi Davida Gilmoura lub artykułów z trzech kolejnych numerów Dziennika Bałtyckiego w języku polskim i angielski.

Na 90 stronach albumu uchwycono chwile z tego niezapomnianego spotkania z  Davidem Gilmourem jak i jego muzyka oraz muzyką Pink Floyd.

Stoczniowcy i członkowie Solidarności dla których zorganizowany był ten koncert oraz fani i uczestnicy liczą i czekają, ze dla upamiętnienia 26 rocznicy powstania Solidarności i przemian jakie ten ruch wywołał, wzorem wcześniejszych i późniejszych koncertów z cyklu "Przestrzeń Wolności" zapis video z tego koncertu ukaże się chociaż w ograniczonym nakładzie, do dystrybucji na terenie Polski.

Last year's David Glmour concert in Gdansk Shipyard to celebrate the events of August 1980 and Solidarity Movement was a special event for Polish people.

Many of us waited for that moment for years and for many of us it was unforgetable. On concert's anniversary and 27th anniversary of august events Pink Floyd and David Gilmour's talent fans decided to celebrate that evening by releasing an unofficial album, using own phtos or the ones published on the internet, accompanied by fragments of David Gilmour's words or articles from 3 issues of Daily Baltic both in Polish and English. On 90 pages of this album moments of this unforgetable meeting with David Gilmour and his music along with Pink Floyd music were caught.

Shipyard workers and Solidaty activists for whom this concert was organised and fans count on that to celebrate 26th anniversary of Solidarity and changes starter by this movement the video recording of this concert will be released in limited number for distribution in Poland.

Das Konzert von David Gilmour in der Werft von Gdansk hatte für viele Menschen in Polen eine besondere Bedeutung - das Konzert wurde anlässlich des Jahrestages der Ereignisse im August 1980 und der Gründung der Gewerkschaft Solidarnosc organisiert.

Viele polnische Fans hatten seit Jahren darauf gewartet und für viele wurde es zum unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Die Erinnerungen an diesen Abend wurden jetzt in einem Fotoband festgehalten. Fotografien polnischer Fans von Pink Floyd und David Gilmour wurden ergänzt um Bildmaterial aus dem Internet und Ausschnitten aus verschiedenen Interviews und Zeitungsartikeln.  So entstand auf 90 Seiten ein Dokument über das Treffen mit David Gilmour und seiner Musik in Gdansk.

Werftarbeiter und Mitglieder der Solidarnosc, für die das Konzert organisiert wurde, sowie Fans und alle anderen Besucher hoffen, dass die Aufnahme des Konzerts im Rahmen der Reihe „Przestrzen Wolnosci“ zumindest in kleiner Auflage in Polen veröffentlicht wird, wie bereits mit den früheren Konzerten aus dieser Reihe passierte.
